BE A PERSON OF INTEGRITY:

Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principle. The state of being whole and undivided.The condition of being unified or sound in construction. God is a God of integrity, he does not lie, his words are binding, there is no recanting his words. Satan tried to use this to his advantage but failed miserably, because God doesn’t speak in vain. His thoughts and his words are carefully calculated to account for every possible outcome.

That is impossible for humans, but it is our duty to strive for that sense of integrity. The bible says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Division in the mind separates you from integrity. Integrity is important  because it increases reliability, reliability increases trust/credibility, trust brings honor and honor brings favor. A person of integrity may seem lucky, but it is spiritual. the Bible says “By this I know that you are pleased with me because my enemy does not triumph over me. In my integrity, you uphold me and set me in your presence forever” Proverbs 41:11. A person of integrity is upheld by God, they are blessed in this earth. People usually trusts them and honor them despite naysayers. They are usually successful, prosperous and fulfilled. You may be successful even while lacking integrity in some areas but everyone needs a portion of integrity to be successful. Whether it’s sticking to a study plan, consistently arriving to work on time, following budgeting plans etc.

The best CEOs for example are usually people of integrity in some sense of the word. They form meaningful relationships by demonstrating usefulness and establishing trust through their consistency and unified mind, whether long term or until they get what they want. They are reliable, consistent and trustworthy. Most established people or institutions will not enter contracts with people who lack these qualities. The US credit system is based on integrity, your ability to consistently satisfy the terms of a loan from a financial institution. The more consistent you are, the more reliable you are deemed and the more resources you will be entrusted with. The less reliable you are, the less you are trusted  and sometimes you will need another person to vouch for you in order to access certain resources. If other people also deem you unreliable, no one will take that risk and you will lack access to that resource until you can prove yourself reliable.

Now on a spiritual scale God reveals his mysteries to those who show spiritual integrity. Many people want to be used by God but fail to prove themselves reliable. Mismanaging kingdom resources is more detrimental than mismanaging earthly possessions, because eternity is at stake. However a person’s integrity in their waking life is usually indicative of their spiritual integrity. If you are the type of person who always shows up late, is inconsistent, indecisive or disorganized, it usually follows that you are inconsistent in your prayer life, your word study, praise and worship and keeping your promises to God. Once you agree to follow the laws of God, it’s not enough to love your neighbors today and hate them tomorrow, honor you parents today and dishonor them tomorrow, keep this sabbath Holy, but live worldly the next, and so on. We all do sin and fall short of the glory, but just as CEOs don’t always make the most profitable decisions, consistency in making more good than bad decisions separates a successful company from an unsuccessful one.  Think of everything you do as an investment in the business of the kingdom. If you want God to call you to a higher position, you must aim higher. Wake up earlier, designate time for God, arrive on time, arrive prepared, organize your mind, strategize, be consistent, and don’t make promises you cannot keep “It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay”  Ecclesiastes 5:5.

A prayer for integrity

I submit my mind to you to be renewed, Oh Lord God All Mighty, for your word says not to conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Let your will be done in my life. Let Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. As you are a God of integrity, give me a passion also for integrity. I denounce any and every mindset that is incompatible with your will. I cast down all  imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Let your words and your laws live in my heart, and on them I will meditate day and night. Give me the grace for consistency, rebuke every unclean spirit on assignment to keep me in the yoke of bondage of an unstable, unsound and reprobate mind. Who the son set free is free indeed and I declare by the blood of Jesus that I am free from all chains of bondage of my mind. I pray this prayer in the matchless name of Jesus Christ Amen.
